oops

Ouch! I'm pretty sure she was speeding through that intersection at a lot more than 25MPH, hopefully the police will see it that way as well. Glad you weren't injured beyond your heartbreak over the damage to your 300.

If you look closer it also looks like the Quarter is buckled over the rear tire there are probably some on the roof .

The lady in the photo isn't who hit me.

The lady who hit me has insurance.

I had liability on mine.

Our insurance company is the same, they told me straight up it's going on her policy not mine and it's clearly her fault.

I took these pics.

I had EMS come haul me off and went to ER for x-rays.

No broken bones but sore as hell.

Yes, sun was behind her so no way she was blinded by the light.

Blue Jeep Cherokee in photo is what hit me and definitely had to be going faster than posted 25 mph speed limit.

She wasn't hurt. Hers got hauled away on a wrecker.

Some guy who lives there drove mine home lol.

My insurance called me today and they're really being cool about it...so far.

While I was headed to the county far Friday a lady ran a stop sign in a 25 mph speed zone. Claims she stopped at the 2 way. Yeah, ok. My car is toast.

I only "pray" that Kentucky is not corrupt like in California
California Insurance company have "Lobbied" to where the Cops just say: "ah, your both at fault, you for speeding and running a stop sign and you sir, your just as guilty for being in your car..."

It's Kentucky lol. A "no fault" state. Yet, the insurance company is same for both of us. I was listed as unit 2 according to the report.

Adjuster has yet to show up. Should be interesting.

Good to hear that you are pretty much OK Ace.....hope the car claim turns out OK for you.

I got hit awhile back I figured the adjuster was going to try and short change me hell he was finding other things taking things off to get my deductible down having the shop touch up other non related spots since it was in the booth already guy was super cool seemed like he was there to help me not make a buck. Hope yours goes well good luck and hoping you turn out OK after all this accidents are horrible things 5 years after one and I'm still dealing with trying to get fixed

I can relate to this post! I lived in the hi desert for 4 yrs., got T-boned by kids going to school in a silver grand prix. It knocked my new 87 dodge long bed about 30-ish feet out in the desert, and upside down. The other driver told the Mexican cop he was doing 35 mph. The stupid cop wrote it up that way ! HELLO, u cant turn a full size long bed truck over doing 30mph, and still keep going straight down the road !!!! A girl lost her spleen in the other car, and it broke my neck in 3 places. Hesperia put up a stop sign on that intersection, after dozens of wrecks there before me. They found the other driver 60% at fault, me 40%, how stupid can some one be ?!?

years ago,one of my kiddos got hit at an intersection by a state trooper.
yes,you read that correctly.
she was going straight,he was across from her,the light turned green, and she started going and he gassed it and Turned into her car.
with no turn signal even!
after months of back n forth, the states insurance company Denied the claim!!!
4k worth of damage that never would have happened if he hadnt hit her.
figure that 1 out,if you can...i know i never did....

Hate to see your car smashed but from the looks of the pictures that heavy Mopar iron may have saved your life. I'm glad you weren't in a Prius.

Glad you are OK and insured. A closer look at the damage.

gawd what a hit...i agree,TG you didnt get hurt.
thats a scary place to get whacked too.

hey..may help may not because i have no idea what your plans are.
i also dont know if the impact bowed the entire car.
but theres a fairly decent body i can cut the pillar out of if needed, over at the yard.
i could take the chopsaw and the gennie and get busy.
heck,i could cut the whole side off,the side you need is the side thats facing out.
just lmk.

Guys, thank you for all the input and well wishes. That car did in fact save me with old-school metal.

I have settled with the insurance for the damage. I will not disclose the amount, but they actually treated me right. Also... I get to keep the car.

I'm not going to repair it, but rather keep it's spirit alive by building the 360 and putting it in my truck.

Are you going to part out the rest of the car?

Glad to hear/see most everything worked out OK
