Upon removing my wiper switch on my 1966 Coronet I noticed two violet wires one with a tracer that is not connected to anything, where does it go?

Hey Brent, been a member for a while I see...
welcome to FBBO from warm & sunny NorCal Sierra's

I went to the link above on MyMopar.com
I don't see any Violet wires from the Wiper Motor
or a violet wire with a tracer

manual on Elect. page sec. 8 page 97
I did see V-3 brown, v-4 red, v-5 dark green, v-6 dark blue marked
diagram for the wiper motor 66 Coronet
shows it goes to the bulkhead connectors
v-3 brown to A on the bottom terminal,
v-4 red to C 2nd from the top terminal,
v-5 dk grn to D top terminal,
v-6 dk blu to B 2nd from the bottom terminal

----------------------------------------------------------

but;
I did see 2 different sets of 18 ga violet wires
go to back up light to J {slot} in one bulkhead terminal
& H {slot} terminals in the same bulkhead plug
opposite of the brown wire that goes to A terminal {as noted above}

I also see another set of 18 ga violet wires to the
A/C only equipped on a B/engines temp gauge sending unit
if you don't have A/C that could account for the violet wire
that goes nowhere

------------------------------------------------------------

sorry it wouldn't let me copy/save the page
or that above would be understood much better

not sure any of that helps any at all

good luck

Got it. The violet with tracer ( shown as "B1" in the diagram ) runs over to the back up light switch on the steering column. This is for column shift auto cars. I should have remembered this as I converted to floor shift and ran my wiring through this. This particular lead comes from the battery terminal on the wiper switch. I believe this to be the 3 speed switch as another single speed switch is shown at the side of the diagram.
