Steering Column Drop

Can anyone tell me how to drop steering column on a 1970 RR? I loosened the 3 bolts on the support bracket, but it isn't budging. What am I missing?? Trying to drop enough to get rallye gauges out.

Loosen the bolts attaching the plate to the firewall also. Might have to remove them to get enough clearance.

Remember not to swing too much on that column.

I already removed those 2 also. I am not sure what else could have it bound up.

4 holding the plate to the firewall, then 3 or 4 (can check in a minute) holding the bracket under the dash. Should be all

There were 2 at firewall and 3 holding support plate. That looked like all that were holding it up.

There are 4 at the firewall plate that have to come out completely, then 3 under the column.

An A body barracuda is *** backwards, 3 on the floor and 4 under the dash. My floor plate wont clear the brake pedal either, coming out. !

Thanks guys for all the replies. The other bolts at bottom of steering column were under the carpet......Doh!!! Now on to getting the gauge panel out.
