Ever increasing threat of home invasion, so I bought:

I buy brand new 223 1000 rds pmc brand for $320 shipped to my door the best deal I can find and the ammo is great I've burned threw at least 10000 + rds and have never once had a bad rd!so ether my guns a bad *** or pmc has there crap together!

I had one of my cop buddies tell me about a place called GT Distributors that opened up about a mile from our house. It's a police supply store and they sell lots of guns and ammo. I was getting 1,000 rounds of Federal 5.56 for $300, but Federal was offering a rebate that brought the price down to $250.

Try Target-Sports, on-line. Their bulk prices include shipping, and when offered...rebates are there, also.

I keep one of my pistols on ready alert all the time, but I rotate them out because it's not a good idea to keep magazines loaded for long periods of time. It weakens the springs, especially if you have them maxed out. 30 days is about the longest I keep a mag loaded for any gun.

Springs wear out faster thru compression/expansion then leaving them loaded 24/7/365.

Wheel guns are real guns. No spring worries. Always ready. Always loaded. First round a Magnum for the shock and awe, 2-6 are Specials for better accuracy.

Oh boy....one of those guys. I won't need more than one 9mm, per perp.

I didn't notice you lived in a foreign country....sorry.

Except maybe the trigger spring, but your right on!

I used to think that, but it's not true. :( I have a Uberti Calvary SAA in .44 Magnum that is a gorgeous gun, but after one or two rounds the action locks up. You have to jiggle and jog the hammer and cylinder to free it up. I read where Ubertis are known for this problem, but then I had the same failure on a Smith & Wesson Model 19, which I had always thought were unstoppable but something locked it up. I got it freed up, it locked up again, then worked fine after that and I still have no idea what was gumming up the works.

I've asked a lot of wheel gun guys about the issue, and it's kinda like asking our gang about idle issues... everyone has a different idea what the problem is. :)

Drop one, and knock it outta-time.
Eh... I don't know about that. I did a lot of shooting in the Navy, and we used Smith & Wesson Model 10s a lot, and the ones we had at NAS Jacksonville looked like they had been drug behind trucks. These things were so abused you had to fire them from a bench rest, place black marking decals on the opposite side of the bullseye from where your rounds went, and then aim at the decals to correct for the warpage in the barrels. They were train wrecks but they never failed to function and I know they had spend more time on the ground than any privately-owned revolver. :)

When a revolver goes out of time it's usually due to wear of the bolt or hand.

That is a GREAT price!
Kalifornia starts it's NEW Law 01 Jan 2018
Illegal to purchase ammo via internet UNLESS it is shipped to a FFL Firearms dealer
Then the Dealer will charge any amount they wish to process paperwork....

Hidden agenda is:
Kalifornia WIIL then HIKE the Price of the Ammo up so high that it will be difficult to purchase (State imposed taxes)

Defiantly a 2A violation, but they don't care!

It was getting that bad in Maryland... which is a major reason we said screw this place, we're out of here.

Denver flight today enroute to Tampa. Transporting for the first time in checked luggage. So far so good. 3 guys about 30 with beards. Aisle had the nervous knee wobble. I was in 25C. The Krapistan trio in 25 DEF would have been on the top of my profile list. Didn't STFU for the whole trip. Sounded Krapistani. Could have been Russian, sounded sort of like the comments on the Russian dash-cam crash videos. The 38 in the belly would do me no good.

110,000 real guns coming back from Turkey. M-1 Garands. One with a very low ser#.

AR-15 with 5 30 round magazines in its case pouches for the 350 feet to the gate at the street end of my driveway in.

Might have some light armor piercing green tip ammo too, maybe...

I am getting one of these, no doubt, and I will try the 30 round magazine (vs. 20 standard). If I like the 30 rd mag, that's all I'll use.

this is all well and good. But guns are only effective if you are there at home. Here in Georgia, everyone has guns, and the losers that steal know that. So they make sure they come when you're not home. Only a small percentage of criminals are stupid and cocky enough to come into your home with you in it. It's pretty risky and criminals are usually looking for easy money to buy some drugs, not wanting to risk being killed or additional felony charges. I speak with law enforcement on a regular basis as part of my job and topics like this often come up.

I have guns too, but honestly if someone came in this very minute at 11:54 am, I'm typing on the computer and the closest gun is one flight up(oops). If it comes down to feeling I have to wear a piece on my hip all the time? That will be the day I move OUT of THIS country to one with far less gun violence, because that's just a "ludicrous" way to live in my opinion. For example, in 2006 Japan had 2 gun-related deaths the WHOLE YEAR.

With you until the gun violence part. There is no such thing, they are a tool like knives, cars, etc. People kill people. Japan has a lot more to do with culture.

Yes, the key word to concentrate on isn't gun it's violence.
This stuff did not use to happen in civilized society. The reason was we were all God fearing.
Ask yourselves this:
Would you rather live in a society where God and guns are present, or in a society where neither is present?
The left constantly strives for the latter
