Previously posted about my six pack motor partially eroding one lobe on a solid lifter cam. Had just gone to a stiffer valve spring on the Eddy heads that I put on it. So now after putting in a Lunati Roller cam, changing the oil and filter 3 times, the motor is running great! Took it to Bandimere last night, and ran a 12.20, 12.18, and a 12.13 all at 113 MPH. Previous best was 12.90 at 105. So the Eddy heads along with the roller cam made a big difference! It revs easily past 6000 before I shift, and pulls real hard. Pretty sure this 69 RR would run low 11s at sea level.

Come down to the Mississippi gulf coast the first week of October and find out! You can enjoy the whole week of Crusin the Coast, over 7,000 registered cars, and test and tune night Wednesday night at Gulfport Dragway.

That sure sounds like fun! Gulfport, that would be in Mississippi?

Yes. Minutes away from all of the action that is the week of Crusin the Coast! Like I said, over 7,000 registered cars (and thousands that cruise that aren't registered). Multiple show and shine venues all along the Mississippi gulf coast and the weather is usually zero rain and comfortable. Lots of great cars and great people!

I think your estimation of low 11's is very possible. Ran 11.17 with my old 440 6bbl. Had 452 heads and a Comp Cams 575 lift street (solid) roller. 4.30 gears, crappy converter. Good luck at sea level. Long ride, but Cecil Co. (MD) in the spring or fall is the place to be!! Merry Christmas
