Chrysler started using the Thermoquad in 1971, but it was available from Carter as a racing carb in 1969.As in, what vehicles had non-lean burn thermoquads prior to 1979?
Anything equipped with a 4 barrel
1972 model year
Also see the sticky in the carb section. Everone using a TQ should read it at least once. Lots of info there.
FWIW There were also after market Thermoquads that one could buy back in the day.
Every now and then one will show up at an automotive swap meet. But you need to know what to look for.

In ‘72, there are 2 primary sizes. 1.38 & 1.50. Which would you want and would the other be OK?So, anyone have a '72 quad for sale? I know... probably not lol.
