Holy ****... NEVER use a chain, a strap or anything to add any additional load to a roof truss. They are designed and rated to support themselves and some weight for sheeting, shingles and some snow. Imagine how stupid you would feel when a small job turns into a major building repair because a truss fails and tears a gigantic hole in the roof.
Some of these are funny because they are in shithole countries where money is tight. As a Carpenter that specializes in roof construction, I saw that photo as a huge risk not worth taking!
