A blonde heard that baths in milk would make her beautiful. She left a note for her milkman to leave 25 gallons of milk.

When the milkman read the note, he felt there must be a mistake. He thought she probably meant 2.5 gallons.

So he knocked on the door to clarify the point.

The blonde came to the door and the milkman said, "I found your note asking me to leave 25 gallons of milk. Did you mean 2.5 gallons?"

The blonde said, "No, I want 25 gallons. I'm going to fill my bathtub up with milk and take a milk bath so I can look young and beautiful again."

The milkman asked, "Do you want it pasteurized?"

[Wait for it…….]

The blonde said, "No, just up to my tits ...I can splash it on my eyes if I need to!"

What the hell is a “milkman”???

Auggie you’re showing your age, I remember when we had both a milkman and a bread man. Another good joke that you’d have to explain to anyone under 40.

:poke:

We even had a milk shute on the side of our house where the milkman and bread man would put the stuff that mom ordered. Innocent times back then.

How many of you older Gents bear a striking resemblance to the milkman?
:poke:

We used to tell our little brother he was the milk mans kid...

Not ashamed of my age at all (wink). Our milkman that delivered our milk around 1954 drove a horse an wagon. I was four at the time and the stable was around the corner from the house. I watched the horses being unhitched and they went too their assigned stalls with out being led.

One winter, probably 1961, after a major snowstorm our road was still closed. Our milkman walked a good 1/2 mile from the highway in knee deep snow to deliver our milk. He came in and drank a cup of coffee with mom and dad, got warm and went on his way. That really impressed me as a little kid.

Ever been on the other end ? We had a dairy on the north end of the farm, black angus on the rest of the section, Hell of a bunch of work !!

I’ve helped with milking, but we never had a dairy. We raised a lot of beef cattle in my younger days. Kerosene heaters to keep the water tank thawed, walk the fences after storms to remove limbs. Always something in the worst weather. Really don’t miss livestock.

You have to feed them daily regardless.
Always fun getting silage after a blizzard.

To be a milkman today might be a new beginning. But i think to deliver beer instead would be great then the kids of future would be called beer babies lol

When my mother would check off what she wanted delivered on the list she tucked in the milkman's basket then leave for work I picked the slip out and added chocolate milk. Mom wasn't happy, I said must have been a mistake. Except when it happened again I got toasted!

We had the glass bottles when I was little in the late 50's early 60's but soon swapped to driving out to a local dairy farm to get 5 gallon glass jars right from the milk room. Mom would strap them in with seat belts in the back seat and have which ever kid who rode with her sit in the middle and hold the tops from tipping around. Jars had 2 inches of cream on top that went into making whipped cream.
The jars are/were called Carboy's.

Always wondered how those guys drove around standing up...imagine if Henry Ford had made seats optional we could have ordered a seat delete..
