Does anybody have tips on how to properly adjust door windows, or know where some guidelines are published?

Or somebody who can translate the service manual into understandable words and sentences?

What problem are you having with the window? Adjustments can be made but knowing what you want the window to do is all part of the bigger picture. Glass sagging in the rear? Glass too high in the rear? The main adjustments you need to look into are the fore and aft. In and out. Also the one towards the front tilt.

Fore, aft, in, out and front tilt would all be helpful to know how to do precisely.

First, how do I set the window up stop and down stop? It’s going too far in both directions.

Second, I need to address this issue (see photos), which may be front or rear window adjustment. First one is bad, second one is good.

The gap between the back glass and the door can be adjusted with the back glass. In and out at the top adjustment can be found at the very bottom of the glass tracks.

Here's the adjustment locations on my '62. Not totally the same as your car but should give you an idea as how they're adjusted. (Starting with post #472

On my old '62, there is a cam that stops the regulator on the down position. You loosen the lock nut and turn the screw left or right to change the position of the cam to where it makes contact with the regulator.

The up stop is just a "L" bracket in a slot that the glass frame hits against. Loosen the bolt and slide it up or down.

Look closer at your manual and you will make sence of what they are showing in their diagram. Find where they are talking about each adjustment and you'll get it. Good Luck
