You didn't say what car but on the trunk decal I just asked the same question recently for a 69 roadrunner and it's in the upper right side of the deck lid with it open. See my thread here

Don, upper right hand side triangle of the trunk, I don't think Ma Mopar had exact position location, like they did for emblems on a car, just in a general area where the worker would slap it in place as the car went down the line. I've seen them up square and on an angle to.
