I am looking at buying a new fiberglass hood for my 63 belvedere
I want it to be bolt on rear pin front
Unlimited fiberglass does make them.

My question is they have there’s listed for a 64 Plymouth Fury. I am sure that the 63/64 Fury hood is the same as the 63/64 Plymouth Belvedere. I think that it should fit and work just fine.
I just wanted to ask for help before I spend the money and be wrong like I have been before

Thanks in advance.

The only difference I know of is the leading edge. 63'-64' Belvederes had the individual Plymouth letters and the Fury's had a chrome strip with stamped Plymouth along the bottom edge. Other than that, it should work.

I thought the rear of the hood was different. Not sure, so double check. Also, run away from Unlimited. I bought a trunk lid from them years ago. It was garbage.

Who has had good success with what fiberglass company lately.
I want a bolt on rear hood with pin on front that is good quality. All help is appreciated.

Try Sled City Larry Augustine He is glassman on here!

You can check with Sled City Fiberglass as they specialize in the early B stuff. Some photos for you of 63 and 64 cars.
I thought for sure that the 63's differ from the 64's like furyus stated.First two are the 63 the last is the 64.

All I can vouch for is AAR(Stinger).

I'm diggin' your 63 project. I got a little further with mine but still a long way to go.

The metal skins differ from 63-64 where the hand goes in to trip the hood lever. other than that, they are the same.

Glenwood is right, I've had a little to do with 64 fibreglass hoods...lol.
I'll shoot you a PM.

with my AAR hood for my '63..im using original hood hinges (no springs), installed 2 pins in each hinge, and pins in the front..will use a prop rod..now I can open the hood at shows and wherever just like stock,,and remove it completely whenever I like ,, really easily,,best of both worlds..

With the stiff AAR hood I could see this working. You will find that the hood hinge will open better with a bit of spring installed. I escapulated oak / bonded to the underside of the hood and went with studs. The main thing is, if a guy wants to be creative, you can make them hinge able. Hinges are 6.5 lbs each for those who are counting.

I think that's the only reason the ends were not broke off when it showed up loose in a cardboard box standing on end! not on its side..i think the installation is pretty much same as yours with the exception that there wont be any hinge/hood alignment work as before...much less anyway...the rubber shims put it in place...r those stock hinges...and what springs did u use...thanks..great looking set up..and car..

Yes I see with your set up you would adjust your hood and then lock nut your pins at the hinge slots. Yes I'm using 64 Plymouth hinges, and those springs came off the wall of Lowes. They won't hold the hood up, I have a prop rod for that, but they help make the hinge operation smooth especially when opening because the spring is helping lift.
Prop rod is 3/8" aluminum, from Home Depot. It drops down and snaps into a catch on the opposite side.

the prop rod is something I need to start thinking about,,,i just have not seen any that guys r using until now...as far as raising the hood..its not bad..i think the scoop('65 style)weighs almost as much as the hood....but overall its a sturdy piece...when done there will be a total of 8 hood pins..
