70 rr what do you think about it

Ok i want to personally apologize for all my comments the last few Days it was out of Anger/frustration all the above.
I may have said some things that did not come across right.
I certainly know there are alot of talented people on here like me Ha Ha.
Take it or forget it i'm stating i put my foot in my mouth you guys don't deserve that.
Also on top of the rest i had to pay 4k in taxes today so my budget just shrunk again.
on top of that been with the wife 31 years this year and we are about at witts end
I have a 17 YO on top of that too. lost my job doing record keeping 3 years ago and moved to Tucson.
was at that job 22 years now i drive for Uber?? now i make if i'm lucky $100 a day with no benies.
and i still want this car. i decided to make anther dumb move and take 15k from out of my IRA so i will have 32 hopefully by the end of this week.
I have to get one to enjoy me carless is like a fish out of water.
sorry guys.

Sorry to hear about your problems, but buying a nearly 50 year old never-ending money-eating car is the last thing you need to do at this point in time. Put the money back in your IRA.

Sorry also to hear all of that. My advice, even though you have not asked for it, is to buy a nice driver of a lesser model B Body and just enjoy it, tinker with it, and when your life is on better footing then get the dream. That RR wont keep you warm at night, or solve any problems.

I know all about frustration, anger and stress and if i may be so forward to offer some advice, id tell you dont let your problems affect you when you post things here. From what you've told all in above post, you have bigger fish to fry than buying a hobby car. When you post about buying a car here your going to get a lot of opinions you wont agree with but frankly you are experienced in these cars as you stated so why ask in the first place. If you like the car than buy it.
If i was on this forum before i found my car and asked for opinions as i know next to nothing about these cars, I'm sure the advise i would have gotten would have been expected restoration costs, value of finished project. Instead i had to learn the hard way. This is the best place by far if you own a classic Mopar. The advise i got is invaluable and honestly i dont know how i would have faired if i didn't have the help i got here.
Honestly id tell you that if i was in your situation and I'm sorry for your problems however the last thing id do is buy another old car, but thats just me. Best of luck to you and i hope everything works out and just remember ,if you and your family have no major health issues than you have no problems. Be well

Have to agree. Not the right time to be spending money on toys. There will still be cars around later. Man up and take care of the family first. There has to be more work available. Poor pay beats no pay...

:luvplace:Warms my heart to see everyone playing nice...

Actually i'm happy working for Uber/Lyft
I make my Own hours, meets alot of nice people and we bought Our house cash so we only pay utilities.
Call it semi Retired. got away from the cold. Not too bad.
You can drive your classic car year round, tons of car shows,
sure its alittle warm in the Summer but way more good weather on a whole.
Now back to the hunt!

That my friend is so untrue.
Every nut and bolt has to come apart???
when you do that right there the car is never the same never!
You guys who do that are amateur's compared to the factory.
Half the guys on here don't even know how to turn a screw driver, i have seen it.
Some guys with the nicest cars dont have a clue. they paid out the a** and that my friend is what makes it so expensice . dip this dip that ,strip this and strip that hahahah. you arent schooling me you guys gotta get out frombehind the computer some time. Just because you bably on here about stuff dosn't make it reality.
there are alot of nice people here. And then there are the others.
It is my money just thought id share and try and be apart of the communty more but hey what every floats. I have done more cars than half of the guys on here.
All nice drivers trailer Queens and cars that are not driven because there so called "nut and bolt" do not get driven. what a waste.

Your a real "Expert on the forum" I see.
Quote:
-'Half the guys on here don't even know how to turn a screw driver, i have seen it."

You need to reassess your objectivity "wantonebad70"
Try NOT to take any reply defensively/personal.

Many guys on this forum do all of their own work.
MANY!

Also, you stated:
-"when you do that right there the car is never the same never!"
You are thoroughly mistaken on this comment.
The original Factory workers and Q.C was never near the perfection some of these Restoration houses attain along with some of our members.

Finally: PLEASE do us ALL a favor and:
1. Take a deep breath when yo reply and try not to let your emotional persona take over.
2. Re-read your replies and proof read them. As they say in my Profession:
"YOUR COMING IN BROKEN AND STUPID"

Cool!
But,
I can only say one thing....
when I buy a car, sometimes I go "Impulsive" and my emotions override my common sense
Now: If you can get any B-body muscle car for $15K and under...In my opinion, you're doing OK
Keep us posted, all he can say is no

So my advice then is this: Take someone with you to look at the car that is NOT emotionally attached to buying one. We all need the clear thinking a person like that provides when making a purchase like this. Buy with your head, not your heart...
