I don't know how much more fun you can have than this! I was doing 115 when dude passed me. That is a " lemons" race Duster, don't know what he has in it but it hauls ***!
Having tech difficulties, hang on

How bout some 1/4 mile times? That's what they're meant for.

In Sept we have Mopar Madness at the Sacramento Raceway. I plan on having the GTX out there to see what 1/4 mile times are. I really did build this car for Pro Touring and wasn't too concerned with 1/4 mile times. It is pretty damn quick though! Carves turns real nice and flat too.

Looks like fun

Don't underestimate a "lemons" car. Our Lemons Nova has 3.73 rear with a 700R4 and will easily do 130 (top end, not in the 1/4).

??????
In 1970, tires were skinny and hard as plastic. The only cars that really handled well were race cars and some European high end exotics. Tire technology improved, cars got lighter and slower....In the late 70s, Detroit started selling buyers on the benefits of improved handling. The 1982 Camaro Z28 and Pontiac Trans Am were great handling cars for their time. Nowadays, new cars all handle quite well. The classics can be made to handle far better than when they were new.
Why turn your back on that? Life is not always a straight line.

That's fine, everyone has their own idea's of what a muscle car should be. I was referring to what the factory built them for, they didn't advertise lap times, they used the 1/4 mile as their testing. Please forgive me if I offended anyone. Some of old timers still live on the 1/4 mile.

Life is a straight line . Which direction are u going ? (not that I haven`t been side tracked a bunch !)

Life is a straight line?
Not for everyone. Few people that I know have had one job, one marriage and one hobby their entire lives. There are twists and turns in everyone's life as far as I know. Health scares, events that make you change opinions on matters, job layoffs, etc.
Regarding cars, I agree that these cars were built to be fast in a straight line. The guys that like drag racing are as free to pursue that as are the guys that want to update their cars to be better at other aspects: Handling, braking, ride comfort, fuel efficiency and appearance.
