I am adding a drum/drum PB booster and obviously have a plate for just a master cylinder. Any reason why I should spend $85 for a new plate over just modifying the one I have?

I would just modify what you have unless your ever going to put it back to oem

I went from manual drums to power discs and used the original plate, didn't even need to modify it, it just bolted right up.

The horizontal spacing on the booster bolts match up with the plate holes but the vertical booster stud dimensions are different. Needs a slotted hole.

I would definitely modify it then, it's not as if it's a really technical part - it's just a steel plate with a few holes in.

Thanks for the input. Besides the bolt holes, the input shaft was also way off so I returned it. I’ll wait and maybe convert to discs later.

I modified the plate on my 64 for the booster. Bolt holes were in correct place but the rod hole had to be changed. It was not much work at all.
