Very Fitting...

I'm sure she still has more money than anyone here.....maybe. Besides, who else can say they ran open wheel at Indy AND Crashcar stuff??

Tony Stewart. And he was great while doing it. She only succeeded because she is pretty.

I didn't even think she was all that pretty. Not bad to look at but flat chested as could be and had a voice only a mother could love lol. How much talent do ya need to drive an Indy car and not get killed? There have been much more talented drivers that did get killed but how many were killed because of morons on the track....like the one that was slower than the field and in the way today and got nailed?

I met her at Charlotte last fall. She is pretty, but she across like a total CUNT!! All of the other drivers were interacting with the fans and signing autographs. She was off to the side acting like she was too good to be bothered. What bothers me is that she occupied a seat because she was a pretty face that helped Nascar's image. A lot of better drivers were kept out of the seat because of her. Just look at the class of rookies over the last 3 years. ALL better than her.

yep all of them were a bunch of whiners. rusty wallace was the worst. petty kid was always late and for the most part thats why dad didn't him the 43 car cause he was crap. as for ms d all she was a test and to keep women out of the sport. but she was smart enough to make money at it and be one hell of a corp tax write off. nascar and indy have fallen to corp world and never see real racing again.

Sorry, but Shirley Muldowney had more of an impact on the discussion of women in racing than any other woman, period. She's called the first lady of drag racing, and I think it can span all motorsports.

I usually don't , but I'll disagree with Cranky this time:
I think she's very pretty..looks a little like Sandra Bullock ( in my dreams anyway). She's had better racing days, but has opened the door for other women in a male dominated sport.

I say: let all the hotties in!

You do have to give Danica credit, there were other top named drivers that lost their cars today as well in similar fashion. The cars were harder to drive this year with the aero package

While her career in nascar wasn't great, it seemed to me that she was in a whole lot of crashes that were not of her making. That may be because she seemed to be always in the middle of the field with other mediocre drivers.
(And she is one helluva lot richer than me! Reported net worth, 60mil.)

AJ Foyt, Mario Andretti, Dan Gurney among others. Andretti won indy and daytona. Foyt won at everything, indy, lemans, nascar, usac, dirt, sports cars. Gurney won nascar road races at riverside something like five times, and developed his own indy cars.

yep..... in the pack, competing; unlike others, who hang behind the pack and gain position as others wreck

There is a reason she is called Danicant.

She can qualify but she cant race.

And she got much better equipment than Kyle could ever dream of getting.

Not a sport for chickens mor arrogant asses. NASCAR made this mess. Bumper car racing.

she still had a better career than Kyle Petty

Not hardly. Kyle had (8) wins and over 170 top 10's in NASCAR.
She had....the PC crowd pushing her on everyone because she was "marketable" - which of course the more she opened her mouth, the less marketable she became.
She was a rolling speed bump on the track and caused wrecks often - and never took responsibility for doing so.
The worst kind of driver to be on a racetrack with - she had the entitlement attitude working, which of course didn't work so well with the real racers out there who had earned their seats through years of working for it.

Thing that kills me is that there ARE many talented, capable female drivers in the lower ranks of NASCAR right now that they SHOULD be promoting.
They're working for it, too, not being given a seat.
