Anybody have any recommendations for extended length non-adjustable rear shocks for street/strip '67 Belvedere with 3400lb SS springs and manual trans ? Thanks

I think shocks from a C body work with that combo.

Yes, you're right, but kind of looking for something more suited for the track but will live on the street. Options seem limited,, unless money is of no concern, of course !

You can buy the long shocks for SS springs through Mancini Racing.

Years ago(!) ran regular shocks w/SS springs; didn’t know any better I guess. Don’t remember any issues with topping out. I’d go with C-body myself, now.

Thanks. Yes, looked at what they had first, just wondered what else might be out there. Seems like I see new stuff everyday since joining this site !

Pretty much all shock manufactures have a spec sheet for all the shocks they make. When you find the listing for the stock shocks for your car; the compressed length, the extended length, the top mount type and the bottom mount type, you can then find the same specs for mounting with the extended and compressed lengths you want and what the application is. Then you can check ebay, racing junk, etc, for a good used set or buy new for that application.

Jack the car up, let the diff hang free on the springs, and measure the extended length of shock required. Then search spec sheets, Summit, Jegs, etc for the correct extended length.
I have used Mopar and QA1 shocks on some of my stuff.

Viking has double adjustable shocks that are ideal for street/track setting. If you pm the shock specs that you are looking for I can get you a price on a set suited to the lengths you need.

Thanks

Viking double adjustable shocks from James at PST. They work great and are super easy to set compression and rebound without removing shocks...

I used '76 Dodge Ramcharger 4x4 rear shocks on my car for years. They are the correct length but might not work well on a 4-speed car.

Sure. It's certainly not the cheapest kit but I liked the billet shackles and the adjustability for ride height.

Kit is from Moser. 1981 Cadillac El Dorado calipers & pads. Don't know if e-brake lever is stock for that application or something he fabs...
