What is the purpose of this look?

The purpose . . . so the tire companies can sell more tires when you have to replace them every month due to the excessive wear . . . .

I'm with ya, some dumb **** that was started in Japan and has now bled to the tuner kids over here... looks retarded to me, but hey .. if they want to keep replacing tires and suspension parts so be it ...

Rediculious! Cartoonish clowns. I guess alignment guys will be looking for a new line of work!

Wasn't that in the Car's movie??? gitter done........it is a very retarded look

The "morning after pill"..........when you step on your grandkids hot wheels in the middle of the night.

Is doing alignments with the suspension unloaded a requirement now. If it actually worked it did not catch on with indy cars.

It would definitely eliminate drifting on the side walls.

So that's what SNAP cards will get you nowadays.

It's looking like an imbecile and unsafe at the same time. Yeah, get an 8 inch tread but only use 1inch for a contact pattern.

The other thing I wondered about is why are the tires wider than the rim and how do the get the beads to seat?

Kid down the road has his tires like this . My son has said that's the style undersized tires on rims .
They won't do it at his dealership , I imagine this can't be safe and should be illegal it's a blowout waiting to happen .

I think you mean the rims are wider than the tires??? What ever, it's one of the stupidest automotive things that I've ever seen!
They probably bead them with the explosive gas and match method; after they inhale the fumes first, LOL!:realcrazy:
