I was outside today, this afternoon to be exact. Enjoying the miserably sweltering triple digit heat index. In my soybean field scouting for weeds, and off in the distance what do I see?
Is it a weird cloud? A UFO? I'm I hallucinating from heat exhaustion?

Went right over my head at low altitude.
He must have gotten lost. Lol
Pretty cool though, not a bad end to the day.

He better get a move on if hes gonna make back to Akron by dark, lol

around here you see them following the coastline from time to time..

Not a common sight in North Central BFE though.

Town Festivities are this weekend. Local Airport hosts some of them. Just a guess that thus is linked

I was questioning my sanity for a brief moment.

I was in south GA suckering tobacco in one of my uncle's fields back in the day when I was 14-15 years old (mid-1970s) when I looked up and saw the Goodyear blimp floating overhead...probably heading to cover a GA Bulldogs v. FL Gators game. I had never seen such, and as I remember, was amazed by it. Thanks for sharing my friend!

Probably Wingfoot 2. These new ones are too quiet, you could hear the older ones before you saw them. Glad they hit your area!!

I know the Captin. He is looking for old Mopars in the weeds...
Good thing he stayed to the north. They are not for sale....i am gonna restore those someday...lol

We don't get the Goodrich Blimp down here very often.

I noticed that last time it flew over. It was like it was drifting with the wind currents quiet.

We used to have a base here in Houston, I remember being a kid coming into town to visit family. In the evenings right after dark you would here the unmistakable buzzing sound of thier twin engines. It was neat as they would run these cheesy animated cartoons across the side.

I'm taking it easy today.
Spent several hours yesterday inside hot, dusty metal grain bins stirring hot corn.

FWIW, or, FWGAS (for who gives a ****): It was in Omaha this past weekend; then Sioux Falls, SD (Airport) June 26-28; Moline, IL (Airport) June 29; Joliet, IL (Airport) June 30-July 2. Evidently the airships travel around frequently.
