What car would you drive completely roached out?

It can be sound mechanically but exterior and interior are not so good. You get to have a seat and a couple of gauges but not much else. This comes from a conversation with my son. It's usually a car under $5,000. You can't get it with the aspirations of body, paint and interior in the future.

I daily a rusty looking 81 turbo trans am. 50k original miles on it, pretty nice interior. But, it's junk through and through, plastic hinges, tight spaces, poorly designed, first and last old gm I'll ever own...
Building a ratty gen 3 hemi swapped 70 roadrunner. Previous owner pop riveted new quarters on it and never got around to welding them on, I don't plan on finishing that out for a long while.

Wow that's my 2002 Nissan Sentra. I bought for $200. The guy said he was tired of fixing it. Who knew his last fix was 10,000 miles ago. One thing helps. Buy a car from a person where emissions are tight like Denver and take to where there are no emission checks like Colorado springs.

My daily driver - a rusty '71 Challenger. I pulled the original, running /6 (for rebuild) and dropped in a '98 5.9L from a 198k mile Durango I picked up for $400. It scoots along just fine. Best part is, if I ever blow the motor, I'll swap the manifold onto another worn out 360 and resume shredding tires and commuting to work.
