All the crap on TV and this is over the line?

Critics are complaining that jokes in a new TV ad for Jack in the Box are too sexually suggestive in today’s #MeToo environment.

What’s in the ad?
The ad features the fast-food chain’s fictional CEO, Jack, using puns about the male anatomy to describe the company’s new teriyaki bowls.

Jack walks into a room, for example, and says he’s the only one with “the bowls to serve something different.”

Jack goes on to say to an male employee, “You’ve got some pretty nice bowls there, and so does Dan.” A female employee also remarks on Dan’s “bowls.”

A string of puns ends with yet another joke: An executive explaining to Jack that his marketing stunt is making company lawyers uncomfortable.

In my opinion the #metoo is a bit over the top. Many, many legitimate beefs but c’mon it’s affected just about every element of life. Like someone said in another post - we’re sure lucky they didn’t have Twitter when we were coming up... I do however bow to the true victims

The Jack in the Crack down the road from me has been there since the mid 60's. It was remodeled a couple of years ago but the service sucks and after 'trying' them out a couple more times, we gave up. Remember their secret sauce?? Probably can't run that in an ad anymore either. Used to go there every Friday or Saturday night after a date (well, 'they' had to be home by 11 or 12 usually) and get their 3 cheese burgers with the SC for 99 cents!

When we were kids, running around late at night, we would hit the one in the next town over. Really satisfied the munchies! Then one afternoon I happen to be passing through and thought I'd stop by for a burger. I could barely eat it, it was so gross! Never went there again. Lol

Any mention of -current events- can lead it to be banished to the corner for a time out from the general public discussion.
What causes this to be true is a few --will tend to make it so.
