how many shades of blue can it be

Yup. Twenty mopars painted the same B5 but all look like a different blue. I had pretty good match to original paint chip using PPG DBC if I’m doing base/clear or PPG DCC if I’m doing single stage. Nason and Omni are so far off from original (cheap, which is why I don’t spray it) Sherwin is pretty close but a little on the light side.

I wondered that same thing. I think it comes down to color of the primer it was laid on as well as how many coats were put down too.

i believe you might be right i just have a hard time seeing b5 in 30 different shades. one thing for sure it's a great color no matter what shade it comes out. so white base color comes out lighter and a black or silver base color would be darker.

Yup. Color of sealer makes a big difference. Especially in solid colors. DBC B5 isn’t very transparent After 2-3 coats so I wouldn’t worry about color of sealer if you’re gonna paint B5.
