Hi, new from Washington

:welcome: from the foothills of NE Tennessee.
As you're finding out, Mopars ain't cheap cars to fix up. You can probably do two early Mustangs for the price of one Mopar.
I echo the others (and from my own experiences) when I say get the most solid body you can afford. An original unmolested
car would be ideal, even if it's "just" a lesser slant 6 or 318 car.
As you know from your uncle, most of the hard mechanical parts are available - lots of model-specific trim is not.

I thought mustang was a frobidden word on this site  but yes I will definitely try to stay away from rust and I dont think I could afford anything bigger than a 318, gas mileage wise. In relation to what you said ive been eyeing this thing up for a while now, seems to have no rust(can never tell for sure) and seems pretty original. Is it worth the trip?:

wish he had posted a trunk picture from my experience that tells you alot about the condition of the car.

quick question though, why do some 66 coronets have those four trim lines on the rear quarter panels behind the door but some dont, is that just a difference in trim package, like a 440 vs. a 500?

Looks like it very well could be a candidate. See if they'll send you pics of the undercarriage and the trunk before you make a trip.
Yes, different trim levels got different "gingerbread", such as the Coronet 440 (like that one) vs. the Coronet 500 (fancier version).
BTW, that's a 318 poly engine. Ask your uncle about those. :)
Good luck!

Thank you, I will definitely be doing that.

Ive heard a few things (more horsepower, more money, and harder to find parts for) but I'll definitely see what he says. Thanks again.
