has anyone used the max wedge factory setup manifolds& pipes- not including mufflers on a B block ? wondering if they fit/clear beings the B is narrower and lower on the exhaust ports than the RB.

Not quite the same but I did run Max exhaust manifolds (on a 440) in my 66 Belvedere and had to cut a recess in the right side firewall for clearance.

you apparently were determined !! I've wondered about that as well, now I know! I am going to have my replica max wedge factor exhaust made the car now has a 383. if they are made to fit that I don't know if the difference in width and block height difference between the B and RB would not allow them to work on a 413 when this engine is exchanged or if there were clearance issues .. thanks for the note

I think it varies by the year, on B-bodies the '66-later engine sits about 1 1/2" further back than a '62-'65.

I'm only concerned with putting the manifolds and pipes on my '64 Dodge 330 (guess I should have mentioned that) it has the 383 in it now ,I'd like to put the max wedge-manifolds to mufflers on that but not sure if the difference between the B and RB would be problematic ,my plan is to put a 426 wedge in it later on -(bore my 413.)

In that case, it will depend if you tie the two sides together with a crossover/x-pipe. If not, I think it would work as long as your exhaust pipes can spread a little to accommodate the extra width when you do swap engines. Even if you did use a crossover pipe it wouldn't be difficult to design a joint that could slide open (enlarge one side to slide over the other allowing enough length for adjustment).

definately going to use the crossover pipe, thinking if I use the 383 I could add plates to the heads to space out the manifolds to RB distance, not sure the height difference. may be easier to just put in the 413 to make the exhaust
