Have an For Sale ad for my 70 RR. Want to be able to "edit" the ad (change the price and update the condition of the car, etc...). Will becoming a Gold Member allow me to do that?

thanks

Becoming a Gold Member will allow you the same privileges as you already have to edit your own posts. if it doesn't work now, it won't work by becoming a Gold Member.
However, if you feel like taking advantage of the other benefits...by all means...go Gold.

You could send a message to a Mod to help if required. :D

You have 1 week to edit an ad, regardless of GM or not.

I do know about the one week "grace" period ( I am past that point) but does being a GM member allow me to edit my ad anytime until it sells?

thanks

No...

And frankly, I have never understood why people want to edit their ad after that time frame. If I have looked at your ad before, editing price or whatever wont tell someone that something has changed, so if I wasn't going to buy it at the first price, I wont notice you changed the price.

Just post in the thread "Price Reduced" --- Its actually BETTER for you to do it that way.

The biggest problem I see is that you can't edit the title of the thread/topic once it's been posted, like if you make a typo or something. What's up with that?

There are other benefits to becoming a Gold member, too:

The benefit I see -with that- is it trains one to revisit what they intend to post before doing so.
It's worked for me a few times and I tend to revisit my entire post before committing it.

BTW- one can PM a mod and ask for a correction if needed. These folks (the mods) are actually quite friendly.:p

you can edit your title
click on the thread tools drop down and the edit title prompt will appear
it will be right above your first post
