My Mom has sideswiped a garbage can and knocked the passenger side mirror off twice and she just turned 80. We are trying to drop hints so as not to embarrass her by just taking the keys to her car. On the other hand, nobody is volunteering to be her personal chauffeur. Her Dad had a non injury wreck in his late 60s and chose never to drive again. He rode a 3-wheeled bicycle until his death.

I'm glad there were no serious injuries but really, you'd think that if they wanted to meet royalty that bad they could have found a better way to do it!

C'mon guys....Prince Philip is a cool guy....he says whatever he likes and nobody gets all #upinarms about it..

Back in 1995, my wife and I were stuck in traffic in west London (in our pale blue Range Rover), and Philip was in his 'British Racing Green' Range Rover coming towards us. His chauffeur and I were about 2 feet apart as we slowly edged past travelling the other direction. Philip and us exchanged smiles and waves...it was a very cool moment that we will not forget easily.

BTW...as a Kiwi, my ancestors fought along side the Brits in many wars...and our nation continues to do so.

Over here in 'merica, we seldom hear of Philip or the old schoolers. Ill bet he has some great stories to tell. Probably many of Churchill (whom I view as the greatest leader of the 20th century) and the war.
All we ever get to hear are about Harry, his brother not Harry, and their deceased mum and the conspiracy theories.
