. A good friend of mine, after 7 yrs of medical school and training has been fired for one minor indiscretion. He slept with one of his patients and can no longer work in the profession. What a waste of time, effort, training and money. He's still paying on his school loans. This just goes to show one minor mistake can ruin your life. Thoughts for him and his family. He really is a great guy and a brilliant veterinarian.

People are let off easier for killing somebody. I cite a case where a college girl driving & texting killed a guy crossing the street; he had young kids. She was devastated for killing him and got two years. I don't know, maybe a period of punishment then ability to return to the profession assuming it was all consensual and such. Yes a dumb mistake I'd think he would never make again...now there's a state or more wanting to let felons vote and relax prison time for non-violent crimes. I had a friend who lost his job for a consensual work relationship and the romance went sour. She reported him to HR and she ended up getting his job! Things are fucked up...

Mighta worked out better I suppose. Yeah, the days of work connections that were so common leading to marriage or eventual break up are over excepting the more fearless. All it takes now is an innocent request for a date and bye-bye job.
