New project 1966 Belvedere 2

Well today I was trying my hand at welding.. I'm not a welder by any stretch. So I fixed the rusted sail panel but I still need to get the upper portion welded. However here is my progress.

Lincoln 140
Speed set at 2.5
Power at A
.025 wire
75/25 argon.

And on another note.. I found my missing emblem in the trunk pan of the parts car above the gas tank. Broken off but repaired.

Try him again.. I do know his wife was in the hospital a while back. Plus he had been working with a friend doing Taco Bell store booths at night.

I'll do that. Thanks for the update.

Today working on the small bumper filler lip 2 rusted spots to patch in.. Hand making the patches not too hard to do.

Im planning on an engine repaint to a more appropriate turquoise Its not a 66 engine and not a numbers car so as long as it looks like it should be in the 66 ill be happy. I topped off the engine with my 440 Super Commando pie tin. The engine never looked finished. And yes im going to try and use the HP manifolds.. Hope they fit.

The HP manifolds will fit, I have 'em on my '66

Does anyone know what the little orange light is for under the dash on the left? Hazard indicator?

It is the e-brake warning light. On the Plymouths it flashes when it's on (dodge no) Not sure on Plymouths but on the Dodges that light was part of the "light package" in 1966. The package included truck light, glove box light & e-brake warning. If your car has a glove box & truck light - It might have that option.

Roger that I have a trunk light sail panel lights as well as the glove box light. So I guess that was an upgrade. Without a fender tag I have limited info. I do have a few codes on the certicard.H4x KK1 sa and I think 0922

Before and after pics.. Of the small stuff. I suck at welding but got it done.

You should be able to get The IBM card(build card) thru Chrysler Historical Services. It will show everything the car was built with.

You do nice work.
That remains to be seen.. But thanks.. Updated the door latch need more damn argon/c02 but I have the patch panel cut out and resized. Then on to the trunk lid.
FYI the harbor freight magnets suck.. They barely hold anything.
