I just heard from the shop that is polishing the upper trim for my 66 Satellite. He told me that the long quarter panel upper trim pieces were bent/damaged in the anodizing tank.

So now I'm on the hunt for the upper trim for both the driver and the passenger side upper quarter panel trim pieces.

These are the pieces that run along the top of the fender/door/quarter panel. Let me know if anyone has these pieces, Thanks

I thought maybe a picture might help, and seeing as yours aren't available to have a picture of just trying to be a helpful fellow fbbo member good luck as you can see my not in that great of shape either I don't know if anybody reproduces them and if so they're probably not worth buying from what I've learned about aftermarket trim parts

Thanks for the picture, hopefully it will help in my search!

Those are extremely hard to come by. I had a set that I sold earlier this year. If you do find them, they most likely are slightly faded and/or damaged in some way. There is an option for you but it requires some body work. Some remove them completely and have the holes welded up. They then swap out the turn signals on the fenders for a 66 Barracuda turn signal which looks the same but is finished on the aft end of the signal body. Unlike the Satellite ones that slip into the front fender belt line trim pieces. Looks very good too. Sad I know that these pieces are very rare and hard to come by but that is the nature of this hobby. Good luck with your search and I will try and keep an eye open for some when and if they pop up. By the way...If you need anything else for your project, I have a tone of extra parts for the '66 Satellite. Let me know what you might be looking for and I will check to see if I have it. Most likely I do...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

If I'm reading this correctly, the shop messed up your trim and now you have to buy new stuff?
Was the trim bad before you dropped it off?
Why'd the shop mess up your trim?
Why are you still doing business with them after this?
Why are they making you buy new trim, why don't they fix/repair it?
There's a ton of stuff here I don't understand with what's happening? Good Luck

Update- the guy polishing my trim has located and bought the drivers side quarter panel trim to replace the trim that was damaged. I still need the passenger side quarter panel trim. There's a NOS piece on ebay but the guy wants $350 for it. If anyone has a spare piece laying around please let me know. (I know I'm dreaming). Thanks

That price is very fair due to the rarity of these pieces. I bought a NOS piece back in 2004 for a left rear piece and it was 350.00 also. As I said, they are rare and very expensive. Me personally I would jump on it regardless of the price being asked because it is very fair. Just suggesting is all...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:
