I hope you know that just because it is a 489 case does not mean it is a sure grip.

It’s original to my 70 Roadrunner. Just putting a Dana 60 in. I will have to check it out. It is in basement drum to drum with leaf springs still attached.

89's will usually have a cone type SG unless someone swapped out the carrier in it and like mentioned already, not all rears came with a SG.

Make sure you don't drop any heavy gears, center sections etc. on your foot.

Sandals in garages make me cringe.

I know people that wear them all the time but yours truly can't stand to do that. The eyes on my toes seem to attract metal objects....

I can't remember the last time I wore sandals. And if I did wear sandals (which I'll never do), I would definitely have socks on. No one wants to see my ugly toes and I wouldn't put them through that lol.

It's steel toe work boots for me and Converse high tops when I'm socializing.

Sorry for the hijack OP.

I don’t put shoes back on until between Labor Day and Halloween depending on temperature. Mow, weed eat, mechanic etc in flip flops. The season may be extended due to Global Warming:rofl:
