Anyone on here from T.N.?

Hey I know this is off topic for FBBO but how is Blount Co. or anywhere else in east Tn. for that matter on truck lift laws?. Seems like everyone has 33-35" tires even on new trucks but i haven't seen very many real tall trucks there with 42-44" tires.

Her place is on Carr's Creek Rd. off Webb Rd. The intersection where the "Phillips 66" sign is. Great place tucked back in the hills. I always get BBQ at "The Station" in Maryville, just North of the college and the Lamar Alexander.

Maryville (which has turned into a suburb of Knoxville, really - meaning $$$) is another beautiful area for sure.
I'm more of a national park kind of guy (did my time in cities and got paroled, thanks) and Cades Cove, the Smokies in general, Townsend, Newport, Maggie Valley - heck, MY neck of the woods are all beautiful, as is SW Virginia.
Check yer Yankee-ness at the door and act like you got some sense if you come visit - and be prepared for total
strangers to engage you in conversation at every opportunity, like they've known you for years.
It's how we roll down here... :)

I ain't very yankee like...I have previously lived in Florida and Virginia. I have no problems with friendly people. It is preferable to the lack of it up here.

You know, I feel bad for the folks in Alabama - they give us someone to pick on up here in TN.
Of course, AL folks ain't totally left out in the cold, either....they will always have the GA inbreds to kick around.
Hell, I looked up my family tree.. The branches look like hula hoops. I am apparently my own father-brother-uncle.
Not really I was born in Danbury Connecticut.

Hmmm, let's see here...I don't recall seeing any entry applications from S. Jersey....
There ARE entry standards, after all. We have to be choosy, you know. :)

it's the ones from NORTH Jersey you have to worry about :D

Always found that the case in my travels in olden days, yep - about 2/3 up the Parkway, I started getting nervous...:)

It's shocking to folks that aren't used to it for sure.
My wife is a native NH and she kept thinking people were up to something at first when she came down here. :)

I'm a Californian but I too like to strike up conversations with random strangers. Out here, I often get strange responses. In Tennessee, I'd probably fit right in with this behavior.

Tell me more about the pot metal shop!!

R&D Finishing in Elizabethton, TN. I have had a lot of pot metal work done there and it always comes back amazing. The recently did the vent window frames for my Roadrunner and again the work was great. They also polish stainless steel and do re chroming of grilles and such. The guy at R&D was at one time partners with the guy at Tri City Plating.

So they rechrome small parts as well as do pot metal. Seems like a real plus to me. What was the cost on your vent frames? Do they have a website or can you furnish a phone number?

Plus, I’m sure TN likes firearms waay more than Jersey!

Rick Smith at R&D polished my 68 RR grill. Not cheap, but fantastic finished work. I would use him again.
