I have a 1967 Plymouth Satellite with a big block. I am purchasing a new original type battery and not sure what color the caps should be, yellow or red. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I believe either of those colors would be correct. Depends on what was on the shelf the day your car was produced.

My 66 Satellite had red caps. pic bottom right.

Group 24 yellow caps.

Yep Group 24 has yellow caps. Not sure about 67 but later 440 and Hemis got the group 27 with red caps. 383 cars had group 24.

Interesting but makes sense. I do know the battery is suppose to be a group 24, but as I stated they have it in red and yellow caps. Thanks for the reply.

Group 24 was either green or yellow for a 383 for 65-68......69-74 was yellow......With the car not having the original battery in place and no original photo....Just go with the consensus of what has been documented.....
