boy have they gone to another planet and so did prices it was time to get 3 new ones hope I made the right decision pulled the trigger on 3 Samsung Galaxy Note 10 + , on a personal note I hate cell phones and phones in general but have to admit they have that need at one time or another how many here have one and what are your thoughts on it granddaughter tried to get me to get one for her grandmother just because she has one

Being one that doesn't like being "tethered" to one...every where I seem to go someone/people have them grafted to their ears or to their eyeballs...I like them for a tool use only. But it seems that more and more, web based applications are the current trend and the majority are of the mobile app type. I use it when I travel on the road for directions/GPS and such. I also usually carry my lap top for surfing the web and checking my emails. And I use the phone to call when I need to. Other than that, I will plug it into my truck and listen to the music I have downloaded onto it because the over the air crap music is just that...CRAP!!! But they do have a useful purpose if you don't get too wrapped up in them...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

I have had the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 + now for about 3 months. I absolutely love it. Very fast, user friendly and the graphics are awesome. Being an OTR trucker, my phone is almost like a survivalist tool for me. I often wonder how I ever lived without it.

I have had my Galaxy S10 for about 4 months now, and I am getting to really like this upgrade. previously had the Galaxy 5.....until it started slowing down too much. It is my belief that manufacturers introduce software updates that speed up the aging process of older generation phones in order to encourage you to buy the new models.

All that aside...the S10 takes brilliant photos and video. TV news camera worthy.
So there is no excuse for threads here without pictures.

:xscuseless:

Oh....and my friends and I get a lot of use out of the Snapperbook features

I hear the Galaxy note is a hellava phone and mini computer. I’ve always been and Apple IPhone guy also have all Apple computers at home. Love the functionality of these things these days. The cost has of course gone excessive. I think I paid $750 for ,y IPhone 10 XR. Got $300 off in a summer sale so really paid $450. Still too much. Since I got the new phone I don’t use my iPad as much. I can do it all on the phone with a big enough screen.

I'm still using my Note 3! Starting to have problems running some apps though,
so looking at the Note 10. Jeez Lueeze! almost a Grand! I'm wrestling with what
to do next. A new older phone can be a bargain but they won't be getting any
updated software so that's no good. Black Friday Deals only bring a 10 down to
$750.00 or so. It looks hopeless.

I've had the Galaxy Note 5 for three years now and it's been trouble free. It has more storage space than my desktop!

For me have had a cell phone since the brick was put on the market used only for work. I hate the damn thing but today you can't live without them. One of my colleagues at work bought a new phone and said it cost him 600.00 bucks. Then he said he makes payments on it. We all have lost control with that.

That's a nice looking Golf tract Kiwi...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:
Thanks Bill. My partner played off a 2 hcp, and won nothing....he finished top gross. I won the biggest prize for knowing who the first person to hit a golf ball anywhere other than Earth.

Ps....I played shocking golf.

I graduated from the olden days when we had no cell phones or laptops and recall existing just fine. On the road I had to hunt for payphones and used the hotel room phone to call home. We had a secretary who typed up our reports from our little cassette tape machines. I then got issued a laptop and a car phone before cell phones were the norm. Then we all had to have a cell phone, my wife never wanted to be out of contact with our offspring so they each got one. Yeah, it's everyone and wonder how people who don't have a pot to piss in have the latest models. Most of what my phone can do I don't use. Texting, emails, taking pics, some web searching, and oh right...using it as an actual phone is about it. Reckon someday we can have a chip implanted in our head for all this ****..

4 cell phones since 1985 and my current flipper still doesn't take pictures no matter how hard I push buttons! Like it that way.. but the pressure is on to upgrade from dinosaur...

They are a 21st century electronic ball and chain.

I hate cell phones but need it for work. I still have the land line and use it when Im home. I have a Kyocera Pro because you can slam it on the ground and not break it. Just sayin

I'm retired now, but I'm still a Machinist. While doing my job I use tables and
conversion charts all day long on my cell. Metric measurement conversions?
No problem. Trig? No problem. It has made available more information faster
than I can get from my Machinist Handbook. I can shop at Grainger for a
reamer or letter drill or look at a special insert that I need for a job right now.
It really is nice! Makes me look really smart. Ha!

I'm ready to step into the 20th century as well .The wife & kids all have apple phones, the 8 is the 1st to the larger easier to read for old guys. Might as well take advantage of the sales!

If you can’t beat em join em....... Just the way it is now. I’d rather not resist because the more you do the more you’ll get lost in the future. I’d rather stay reasonably current.

I have one and wont be without one ever. They are a lifesaver. Just for having her 94 year old mother, that she can contact us anywhere. A sick loved one. Im not one to text but at times even being able to send a few lines is a great convince. Getting directions, accessing the internet, weather/traffic.
Wife keeping tabs on me? Minus that one.
