Had another follow me home that needs some TLC to put back on the road.

This truck lived in the York area all its life and then the last 30 years in my home town. We think the second owner was from the same town too. Truck was parked back in 2012, 30 miles on it since then anyway. I’ll be the 4th owner.

This goes to show there’s stuff hidden everywhere and sometimes you don’t have to look too far. Truck was 2 miles from my house.

Love it and only 2 miles from home. Hope I find a charger 2 miles from home. LOL

Awesome looking truck. I will be keen to follow what you do from here.

Great find. My Superbird was about 18 miles from me, and I thought I knew where all the old Mopars were within 50 miles of me were. At the time I was thinking of flying to Fargo North Dakota to look at a similar Superbird.

I looked for 3 years for a 68/69 Charger RT. Made airplane trips and looked at 3; 1000's of miles away that were not as advertised. Found mine 10 miles away...hidden in a detached garage that hardly every seen daylight. Word of mouth find.

Love these stories. Great Truck find!

Nice score and a 78 too! I have a 78,and a 79. I went through the truck about three years ago to get it roadworthy again, but the alternator gauge burnt up. It almost burnt the truck, I stuck my hand up behind the gauge, and pulled out the insulation out,and it was on fire in my hand! Make sure to do a voltmeter conversion on it so you don't have the same issue. It melted the wire going to the voltage regulator too. I have not got back to it to fix the issue, so mine is just sitting next to the garage.

I believe that only 2188 78 Little Red Express trucks were built, and a little over 5000 79 Little Red Express trucks built. I think I am going to sell the 79 Little Red Express truck that I have, it's a solid truck, but it needs a complete restoration.

chargervert you need to sell me one of the 100 chargers you got. you got everything it seems, any challengers?

I got two convertible Challengers, a purple 70 383 car, and a blue 71 318 car with a 71 HP 383. Last year I picked up the carcus of a 72 340 4 speed hardtop too. I will be getting a 71 Charger R / T 440 4 speed car ready to sell in the spring, and the 79 Little Red Express truck project too.

Very nice!

I love the Li'l Red Express trucks - what a score!

Looks pretty nice to me. Cant need much. Ive always wanted one also
It’s good but sitting and not driving these cars kills them depending on environment. I rebuilt the Thermoquad and changed the oil this week and got started. At some point I have to go through all the systems and refresh everything. Cosmetically I showed you the good side.

Thanks everyone!

Yes those are the numbers. I’ve always had a soft spot for these for some reason. I had a 79 a few years back and sold it and regretted it. This truck has buckets and A/C. I’ve been through a hand full of old tin grille Dodges, I know all about the ammeters. Never had one burn though.

Cool find!! Had several Dodge trucks of that generation but never a Lil Red. And what are you towing it with? lol

I would be driving mine if not for the meltdown! My wife loved driving the LRT.
