Did it pass or not?

Senate Bill 460, introduced by Senator Beall, would authorize the DMV to establish a biennial registration period for a vehicle on or after Jan. 1, 2020. Subsequent renewals would be required at biennial intervals after it goes into effect.

That makes no sense to me. A double dip for money or am I missing something.

I live here, and never heard of that bill, on the internet, in print, or word of mouth.

1st I heard of it...

I'd be happy to only pay every 2 years

I'm sure there not loosing money they probably are getting exactly the same just double it up every other year

I don't know about this but I just paid property tax & am furious.
I'm going to post a pic in 'Political' just in case it isn't appropriate here.

Uh guys, you realize that you'll pay double the annual fee every two years, right ?!?!?

Welcome to the 21st century - we've had that here for years. But we still have the choice of renewing annually or paying double and only renewing every two years.

Yep.. as Stan points out we've had it for YEARS.. with no discount to give the Fawkers your money up front for two years. The only bonus is if you have a crystal ball and can forecast when they might jump the yearly amount. Wife got lucky last year when they announced an increase coming and bought both years. I refuse to give them the satisfaction of sitting on my money the extra year.

Nothing came of it, as were still registering cars out here, every year, and were now well into the year 2020.

This is what PA does. You just don’t need to do it every year. You can register for one or two years at a time, just double the price. Also, you lock in next years price too, just in case it goes up.

State run extorsion. No way are they gonna give up that cash cow
