What's it worth?

it very well may be worth $11k

except for the simple fact
it's not running
or been driven
or even been registered since 1992

**** happens to cars that just sit,
lots of $$$$ Usually
to make it better & actually drivable

hence the lowball bid/estimate
with very little photo or documentation of proof

opinions vary, vastly at time, that's mine "again"

carry on nothing to see here

If the fuel system was fixed and 2k of legendary interior was installed (assuming the brakes didn't need a K of work), it could be an 11K car easy.

I was thinking made safe and reliable (prolly interior..hate red)...take it to a few shows and see what kind of response it gets.

If you find a rust free car and I mean completely rust free, solid and never been wrecked, you are saving a boat load of money not having to do any body work. This can be had with a car from a dry climate. I own one and I feel ahead of the game without having to replace any metal. I also paid top dollar for the car at the time.

A car being from a dry climate will have dry rotted rubber and upholstery. Plan on replacing these items if they haven't been yet.

Engine and driveline. Might as well factor in the cost of rebuilding all of it. If you get lucky, replacing fluid and filters and a tune up might be good enough for a driver but you'll never know what you are dealing with unless you tear things down for inspection. When you're that far along you might as well freshen it up with new parts.

What's the plan for the car? Long term, short term ownership? Is the car something you've always wanted and want to invest your time and money into? Do you have the knowledge and expertise to do the work yourself or are you going to have to farm out all the work. Do you have the funding?

I can go on and on but it comes down to what you really want and will you be happy in the end.

My version of safe/reliable fits as mentioned earlier...all rubber lines (coolant, fuel, tranny, brake) new, shocks, tires, suspension bushings. Steel lines flushed replaced as needed. Rebuild the carb, new fuel pump, belts, full tune, flush cooling, fuel tranny (and filter)...a real once over

Do you like it as a keeper?
Desert car:)
They're not making them any longer:D
Big block 4bbl car:)
Looks nice from the outside:)
The interior is hideous:eek:
$7,500 would be max for me:drinks:
$8,000 if you really like it:steering:

Just had a buddy sell his 67 Coronet. No rust. Scatches here and there some trim dinged up. Fresh driver quality 383, disc brake, nice exhaust decent no rip interior. He had no problem getting 10K for it.

It actually looks like it could be original paint.

If that's the case then the value just went way up.
I agree, that looks to be a 7K car if the condition pans out to be as good as it looks. It is not a 11K car. Good luck.

I was watching this auction on eBay. It "sold" for $10,801 with 20 bids though from the CL ad the buyer flaked. Wonder if he walked away before or after he saw the car.

Hard to say what it's worth without actually seeing it, but it appears complete and unmolested except for that hideous interior. I wouldn't pay more than $7-8k as it sits and that's only if I could inspect it and verify it is what the ad says.

For reference, there is another pretty nice looking 67 on eBay with a current bid of $5100.

Originally a 318 car, now has a 360. A/C, disc brakes. Looks like it has been gone through already so it's not a survivor. Not perfect and not all original, but pretty nice and ready to drive. If it were my money, I'd take this one over the CL car.

Ok gents...I'm going to go see it..hopefully tomorrow...its 2 hours each way..but hell.....I've driven further for less.

So if this pans out...I guess I should take my "transport available" post down...

Good luck, really hope it's as good as it looks. So if it pans out your going to drag it to FL?

ebay car from post 77 is now at $7700 with 2 days left.

The interior is a DNA petri dish & the body is just not as nice as one would expect for a "survivor". The mechanicals are questionable, as stated by others. Someone would really have a real hard on for that car to pay 11 grand for it.

If the car is as good as the picture shows or doesn't shows, it comes down to if you like it enough to give as much as 7, that's where I would stop. The stainless on the rockers and wheel lip is worth a bunch. Complete a/c, nicely optioned car, try picking up all the parts that are there and see what it starts costing. To me the gas tank and lines are the easiest and cheapest parts. Good Luck!!

So...I know 100 to a 100,000 is generally the way these go...I'm just wondering what yall would consider a good deal if in the market for one.

Here it is...1967 Satellite, factory 383 325hp 4bbl, automatic on the column (runs but needs tlc), 8.75, power steering/brakes/AC, cloth and vinyl buckets with buddy seat. Appears complete, haven't checked fender tags yet, very very straight, wide chrome or stainless trim on bottom of fenders/doors/quarters...heck it even still has its hubcaps. Runs from a bottle but the tank and lines are gummed up. It's not been driven for almost 30 years.

I'm already anticipating scrub or replace the tank and lines. Full tune, replace all rubber hoses/brake lines/shocks/wheel cylinder seals etc. But this appears to be a survivor. I've never ventured older than 68 before...and I know 67s are a whole different animal....but if you had an opportunity to grab one of these...what would you be willing to pay.
I haven't bought it or even seen it yet...but it keeps whispering to me.

Well there is supposedly an exporter showing up tomorrow..and bringing a trailer...but the owner didnt appreciate the over the phone negotiation tactics of the guy....he will probably low ball and get run off or just pay the man....first one to show with a trailer and prolly 10k will own it. The owner is a self proclaimed guru who has alledgedly owned over 200 65-71 mopars. He's convinced this is the 'last survivor". And priced it accordingly.

I did get out of him that there are a "few pin holes' in the trunk extension outer edges where it meets the quarter skin. I brought up thers probably alot more hiding under that trim piece on the quarter panel....he dismissed it...dont exist if you close your eyes when inspecting that area...and ofcourse the lifters are ticking. Arizona Light surface rust on the rails and boards...that's prolly ok.
Long story short...he's proud of it...and thinks it's the "last survivor". On that note gents...gracias for the inputs...I see most of you are like minded with my thoughts and opinions...

Jeepthrills punching out.

Side note...Still available to haul phx/Tuscon/Demming/Las Cruces/El Paso/midland/Dallas/Houston. Or

PHX/El Paso/ San Antonio/ Austin/Dallas Or

PHX/Tucson/El Paso/San Antonio/Houston

I paid 6800 from a member here for a 66 coronet which was a original 4 speed.
Just seen it was a 67 ply, so not a great comparison. I think more guys like the Plymouths.
