Ryan Newman WILL be down for Breakfast

Seems like a genuine good guy.

4th place upside down!

I thought he was dead when Lajoie hit him in the A pillar @ 180 mph. Kudos to the safety equipment these guys have in the racecars, probably saved his life...
I'm sure he's gonna be one sore sombitch today but alive

I just watched the video that was taken from the stands. Even though it was over 17 minutes long it's amazing how well and fast the safety crew members worked together in circumstances that don't happen that often. I am glad that the Lord was protecting him. Hopefully what is learned from that crash will save another person down the road.

Hamlin pulled a classic Dale Earnhardt move, and almost killed Ryan Newman! The crowd was booing him after he did his burnout! He knocked the yellow car loose then pulled the slingshot move, the yellow car of Blaney couldn't recover and took Ryan out.

As I watched it unfold, I thought of Dale's wreck. Thank GOD for all the safety updates and a driver that uses them

from my A body side post-

Not popular to talk bad about Dale Sr., but the truth is he died having done to him, what he did to many, many others.

In the grand scheme, he won a lot and died doing what he loved.

The yellow 12 car was Ryan Blaney. The car that hit Newman in the window while he was flipping was Lajoie. Nasty wreck glad everyone was ok, as it could have been way worse.!

Do away with the damned aero dependent restrictor plate crap that requires racing in packs. One slip causes half the field to crash.
I know they are now called tapered spacers but a rose is still a rose by any other name.

You are right it was Ryan Blaney, that Hamlin knocked loose, then Ryan hit his teamate because he couldn't recover from being punted by Hamlin.

I'm sure he's on plenty of pain meds and probably isn't feeling all too bad.....yet.

He lived by the sword and died by the sword. Earnhardt was a master of taking the air off the spoiler of the car in front of him,and once he got them loose,he would give them a shot, and they would spin into the wall just like what happened to Newman last night. They used to say that Dale could actually see the air flowing over the spoiler off the car in front of him! I remember watching him do it to Bobby Hamilton in Pettys car,and I said Earnhardt is going to kill someone someday doing that !

Mark, says video is restricted and won't let me play it.

Yea won't work there either. Says its restricted. Probably took it down.

Well for me, I am definitely not a NASCAR fan. Lost interest many years ago. Just too Roundy Round for my taste in racing. I prefer Road Racing as it tests the drivers skills more so than racing at top speed around a basically benign shaped super speedway. That being said, I do enjoy the open wheel type racing such as Indy Car. They also do race on road courses as well. Still I always hate seeing these big wrecks take place and drivers becoming seriously injured or even loosing their lives. I am hoping that Ryan gets the wellness treatment he deserves and comes out of it just fine. And as stated above, he is gonna hurt for a while I bet...cr8crshr/Bill:usflag::usflag::usflag:

Great me news, saw it,was fine until hit
in driver door while upside-down
