Taiwan IS China.

I had to disagree as Taiwan is not a part of China. As of yet!!! They are an independent democracy founded after the Revolution where the Nationalists left and set up on the Island of Taipei and formed their own separate government. Mainland China still tries to lay claim as to it being theirs but in reality they will have a large fight on their hands if they try. I have not been there in my AF travels but those that have say it is very much in keeping with Western values and some traditions. Just so ya know is all...cr8crshr/Bill

But those are also either manufactured either in China or Japan. Nippon Denso comes to mind for their mini starters. I swapped out my antiquated heavy weight original starter for one and it is so much more reliable and sounds the same as the originals. Plus much easier to install and remove...cr8crshr/Bill

That's the main reason I still have OEM starters on all my old Mopars.

I LOVE that sound.

It is part of the personality of the cars.

When I think of all the hands this used starter changed hands through to get to China, the boat trip halfway around the world where it was to be rebuilt, the boat trip back to the US, the distributors it went through and finally to the auto parts store where I bought it, I'm baffled how this could all be done when the final sale price is only 79 bucks.
