What did you stock up on?

Things are pretty calm here in the middle of fly over country :D.
Never know , things could change. I just hope it does not effect work at the shop, getting parts and shop supplies.
I have a swap meet to go to in Des Moines Sunday , after that I have no need to go to the city for awhile.
I just hope everyone stays healthy and safe.

I don't have to
I have a month (probably more like 6 weeks)
or more of dry goods in the cupboards
&/or meats, potatoes & veggies in the freezer or fridge at all times

Mainly so I don't have to run back & forth to the store constantly
not because of fear or panicking or "preper" stuff

it's just smart practices, especially when you live in rural areas
& it's a 20 mile round trip at a min. to a grocery store

we don't really have them big box stores, up here
we use to have a small one, where you could buy in bulk

people didn't use them enough, they went down to
the valley instead (spend $40 in gas)
just to save a few cents on select items :realcrazy:

except for maybe TP & paper towels,
it seem we are fine with that up here too

I hate to even mention this, but my opinion is it's biological warfare and was done on purpose. Retaliation for the tariffs.
I'd hate to think about that! I have never said anything like this before, so here goes. I can't stand China, I can't stand their form of life, I can't stand to watch a country pound the world into their way of thinking. From the, we're a emerging country and get to screw you, for over 25 years now as far as trade goes. Don't touch this water, it belongs to me because I just built these islands. Getting countries in debt to them and then extort them out of their resources. Who knows what they are capable of. One thing is for sure, they want to own and or run this world we live in and that just can't happen.

I have spent most of my adult life in Asia and/or dealing with something in Asia. As it relates to the Chinese, they have felt for centuries that they are the superior race, specifically in Asia but now the planet. Unfortunately, the Japanese kicked off on their asses back in the late 30's and early 40's which was very upsetting to them culturally and in modern times the US has become the worlds only super power which again upsets China culturally. The Chinese play the long game and are happy to play it out 500 - 1000 years, but modern times has seen them become more and more aggressive. I seriously doubt this virus was/is a deliberate attack or attempt to harm the US. I would not be surprised to find out it is something that got out of a lab.

Think about this; this virus is harming them more than us in a number of ways; first has has directly impacted their economy hard, second is that now there is a big push on our side to bring as much manufacturing back as possible. This virus is in no way beneficial to China (or anyone else).

Couldn't have said it better myself.

You got 12 rolls or packs of rolls?
A 12 pack....like a 12 pack of beer, you get 12 cans only in this case, I got 12 rolls. Hell man, I'm no longer married to a paper waster and a 12 pack will last me at least 8 weeks! :D

Well... im in CA so they limit all the fun stuff...

I already have about 10,000rnds of 9mm and 6,500rnds of .223
I don't drink and dont smoke... so I just carry on like normal.
Used to smoke a few cigars here and there but that has come to a complete halt several years ago. Never did smoke cigarettes and didn't smoke weed much either. Also, since I'm no longer married, even the drinking has slowed down considerably!

More like 45 years now as far as unfair trade goes......

These days I only go to the grocery store every three weeks anyway. If we need milk I get it when I get gas. I'm to old to panic and I'm not sure it would help. Where did I put my xanax..... It comes in the mail. LOL.

Well I basically just stocked up on food stuffs, canned goods, beans/rice, paste, sauces, frozen vegys and fresh, meat, etc. Don't understand this panic buying of especially toilet paper and H2O. Come on here...The H2O system isn't going anywhere...yet!!! Hell my water here is now treated better than the city H2O and a cost to soften and purify it and it comes out of the tap much cleaner than in town. The T/P thing is just totally nonsense...IMHFO. I have enough to last me a while but after the countless deployments and travel with the Military...I have a good supply of Baby Wipes and Prep H wipes that I can use in place if need be. I am also buying a Bedit for the bathroom toilet. Too bad that we Americans have never gotten into their use but they work great and do a better job than say T/P. A few days ago I was in Walgreens for some medications for Flu, etc. and this frantic young girl came up to the counter asking where she could get T/P for her aging Mom. I told here to calm down and she kinda took offense. I explained the Wipes idea to her and you could see the light bulb illuminate over her head. She thanked me for that tip and went to that section of the store. My premise was to help her and to open up her limited Brain Bucket to other possibilities. Made my day. Yesterday I hit up Cabelas for something to do as I needed some summer shorts and some cast iron things. Bought some shot gun shells but before I could finish I stumbled upon a used and in very good condition, Mossberg 500 12 Gauge for a buck fifty nine. Sold!!! Been wanting one for a while so now my gun arsenal is complete. Don't really see the need for any more ammo as I have enough accumulated over the years, so it isn't a priority as such. But I agree one can never have enough of it. As for the booze thing??? I have to ask other than a soothing effect and enjoyment thing, why buy booze that cannot be used for other things? I am referring to Vodka here. Not only a good drink, but an effective source for say cleaning out cuts and wounds, and to some degree a cleaning use. Not like the more potent Alcohols like Isopropyl or rubbing. Booze typically is rated at 40% where the others are 70% or greater. Even Ever Clear for that matter is a good substitute. As for China? They started this BS and now are trying to deflect it and blame the US. BS:bs_flag::bs_flag::bs_flag:. They are the instigators and have always been so. It is too bad that our Chinese Americans have to deal with the ridicule because of where they came from. But they were instrumental in our History and actually bring the better side of the Chinese culture than their counterparts. I have never been to China and have zero desire to. Been all over other parts of Asia and there isn't much love towards the Chinese there either. So ya'll be safe, take care of your Families, help those that require it and be civil and kind. It sucks and is FOOKED UP, but if we all hang together we can get through this...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

Nothing.
As a die hard waterfowl hunter and skeet shooter I am always stocked on ammo.
The wife and I went to the store for our regular shopping trip. Only the two of us and we have the luxury of being able to go out to eat at this stage in our lives. I was not prepared for the panic buying that started a couple of days ago here in Reno. I got my new prescription and a few items but it was depressing to see the half empty store and lines. We have some fish, birds and other food in storage. But not enough for a long time.
Ironically I give a lot of ducks and geese to some Chinese friends of mine. Now I don't have it in the freezer!

Me too!

My wife and I are country folks. We live 25 miles from town. We keep 4 freezers and a full pantry here. We didn't buy a thing we could survive for 6 months or more with out going to town if the need arose. The wine might run short but that is about it. As far as ammo I have over 6 thousand rounds of all different calibers. from 12ga. mag. to 44 mag. 45's 22's 20 ga. and 410. Also 30-06 but don't hunt or shoot much anymore.
...hows that generator looking? Power, and water will be an issue soon if riots occur in the big cities. Dry goods.

I'm rich! P&G has a sale in Costco in January 25% off if you buy up to $200 you save $50. We stock up on P&G products.:lol::lol::lol::lol:4 packs 30 rolls, ya I know full of --it.

Folks.....if the **** hits the fan so bad, that TP is their first issue.....we have far more to worry about. My greatest concern has never been the virus. Its the major cities and the sanctuary cities that may riot. It will start over something as stupid as TP and escalate into far worse over formula or water. National Gaurd needs to be on the streets of major cities now. Not later. Now.
