Team,

Where do you guys get you welding gas mix from? I have some local choices, but there seems to be more than I can recall......75% Argon 25% CO2.

Get mine from Praxair. Any welding supply shop will have it.

.....hehe, got one down the street. Knew you'd guys be on all day too......I have a few strategic meeting today regarding services in NY and Ill and will kill some time on here.....

Durand, I go to the local welding supply shop when I need something because it's all under one roof. and if you need any help or questions they can help. I own 5 tanks, oxy acet, argon, c-25, and LP plus equipment and they have the good brand stuff.

...agreed. Was going to call a few on Monday for a smaller tank. Not making battleships over here.....but will probably need quite a bit.

Don't get to small of tank , I guarantee you will run out half way through the job.
P.S DON'T get sucked into a lease , you will pay every month if you use it or not. Airco was famous for that lease BS

I lease my tank - $140/year including tax and enviro charges. This is reasonable and ensures it never goes out of date. I use the large tank - cost twice as much to fill but holds something like 4 times the volume. But the main advantage is fewer trips to replace it.

Ask for a mix but don't be too concerned about the ratio. That only becomes an issue if you're using "spray" mode which I doubt you are.
