It is about the trailer that will haul my Mopar. Cutting out and replacing some old steel. Do you guys put anything on surfaces that will be sandwiched together? The main perimeter is 5"x3" angle iron, and the tongue and sub-frame is 4" c-channel. I'm putting in two new c-channel pieces, that the perimeter sits on. Just wondering if there's anything that might help delay/slow down the rust in between them? I know there's the weld trough sprays, just never needed to sue them. I thought about sealing the seams after welding but figured that would just trap moisture.

I would use weld thru spray and when done probly a bed liner especially on the inside to help seal and protect
