80's Music Anyone?

This one reeks of the 80's as well.

Couldn't NOT hear almost every song on that album.

Prior to the release, one of the groups I hung with got into "classic" Yes in a pretty big way.
There were always passionate arguments about if 90125 was "real" Yes.

I tried to find "Changes" but couldn't get an actual video.

Watch your dates folks-

I see a LOT of early 90's stuff creeping in, esp Motley Crue and Metallica.

80's Metallica and 90's Metallica are almost different bands.

I’ve told this story before on a different thread, so some of you may have heard this before.
I totally listen to good old school metal. When driving I frequently speed up by accident because I get so wound up by a good song. I’m aware that I have a problem, and I try to allow for it.
So my job requires that I’m frequently on the road to remote communities, in sometimes foul weather. One autumn day I had to drive two hours on a highway that had a half inch of glare ice over everything. You couldn’t walk on it, never mind driving. But I have to go, and I get paid by the hour so I do it. So I’m putting along, white knuckles on the wheel, probably thirty miles per hour. Judas Priest “Screaming for Vengeance” comes on. I make a mental note to relax, calm down, take it easy. By the end of the guitar solo I’m flying down the highway sideways at probably seventy miles per hour, feeling like an idiot because I knew that was going to happen.

While I was typing YY1 posted Accept. They are awesome in their awesomeness. I listen to them at work now. Fast as a Shark is as good as hard rock gets. But great solos on the lesser known Losers and Winners and Fight it Back.

More Canadian friends-

I'll take "men without..." for 200 please Alex-

What is "Hats?"

What is "Shame?"

Does anyone remember Goddo? Saw him live and he slayed. Or here’s one: Nash the Slash. Violin driven synthesizer music played by a guy in a mummy costume. Aldo Nova. Almost unknown but a great live talent and session guy.

Gotta tell my "Run To Th Hills" story again.....

I used that for my 10th grade "Poetry Appreciation" project in English class in 1984.

I transcribed the lyrics and read it to the class.

The we discussed the plight of the Native American.

...and I got to play the song in class.

I got a 105 A+

...from the oldest teacher on campus 73 IIRC.

Then in the mid to late 80's, I got "heavier"

Wow, no 80's DRI vids
