I dont see any scoring i will try to take a better pictureAs for cap was not on seated notice a few contacts have been scored by rotor?
I bought a new cap from napa to start fresh after i discovered the reluctor was installed backwards it already had the scrapes one the edges of the terminal i just assumed that was how it was machined this is my third cap i thought i was getting them on right it snaps easily on both sides. Some times its a pain to remove the bottom side due the the ac bracket being in the way is allLook close at brass on terminal next to #1 see it scraped ? A common occurrence cap not seated it will clip but one will be real difficult to snap. Did that hsppen?
Im not entirely sure i let my engine builder handle all that sorry im new to carbureted engines im still learning i can take some pictures of itWhat distributer did you use to convert it?
It has a 1407 edelbrockIf it's still got the lean burn carb it takes a few mods to make it work with the conversion.
Halifax Hops can help. @HALIFAXHOPSSo i have 78 Chrysler cordoba with a 6.6 400 we have converted away from lean burn it will start but has no power i found out that the reluctor wheel was installed backwards and have fixed that but it still doesn't look right in cap and keeps burning up the carbon button has anyone ever seen this
