If you have access to water, soap works better than Hand Sanitizer anyway, the most effective is the old Ivory bar soap. Hand Sanitizer is good to have in situations that hand washing isn't convenient.

I've seen many people skip washing and just us sanitizer! I tell them that's not a suitable replacement ! Sani is good after things here and there but nothing is a replacement for washing your hands!

I told one if you have poop on your hand and you use sanitizer there's still poop on your hand it's just clean poop!
When you wash everything goes away! Sani stays and just drys on your hand so nothing leave s !!!!
God so people are freaking nasty

I keep a plastic jar of powdered laundry detergent handy and shake out a little at a time. It works wonders for grease and whatever else I find on my hands, arms, and legs.

Chronic and repeated continuous contact with methanol can cause erythema, degreasing of the skin, squama, eczema, and dermatitis. For chronic absorption, metabolic acidosis can demonstrate the same symptoms described for acute ingestion [22]. Repeated prolonged contact can cause conjunctivitis, which accumulates a high concentration of methanol when exposed daily to methanol vapor [1].

You don't use Methanol. It is not a safe alternative to ethanol. Methanol is the alcohol that is removed from the beginning of the distilling process that gives you a heck of a headache, makes you sick, can cause vision issues and if concentrated enough it can cause death. Now, beer and wine production does not remove the Methanol like the distilling process does and the ethanol will kill you before the methanol will. You would have to drink that much. So, drink good whiskey, bourbon, rye, and vodka. (the purest form produced in a column still) Only high proof alcohol can be used as a hand sanitizer. Don't think that vodka will kill the germs. Drink it instead. Kill germs from within. LOL

Be careful with laundry detergent. While effective it also removes the natural oils from the skin leading to cracks and increased risk for infections.
