I use them all the time. They have the best catalog for reference also. In the dozens of times I have ordered from them I have only had two minor screw ups which were handled promptly and equitably. That being said, it always pays to shop around and see what the final cost with shipping is. Many people get butt hurt over the shipping practices that garner the extra income. Like I said, price compare and shop elsewhere if justified.

I order from them as well. They are fast, their website is informative and their prices can't be beat.

My issue is I needed front brakes for my 66
Talked to a parts guy on the phone
He set me up with the right part number
Ordered that part number plus other parts
When said part came it was wrong.
Had to return and pay for return shipping.
I now try to get everything if possible from a local vender now.
I do get my dog food delivered ! And it’s always correct with free delivery
unfortunately they dont give me a fridge magnet !

In my many years of utilizing Rock Auto I haven't called to order anything, didn't realize it was even an option. When they have made a mistake with an order they pay the freight. When I screwed up, I payed it. Like I said, always equitable. Are we talking about the same Rock Auto?

this is my issue with them and I completely don’t expect anyone else to agree with me. If you have a good experience and like them that is great. I did not have a good experience with them and that is all I’m stating. It’s ok to discuss this and disagree.

My own personal experience with Rock Auto parts is mixed. I have never bothered to call them for a refund on shoddy parts. The parts I have ordered have MOSTLY been good, but some have been sub-standard. The bad parts have been tossed in the garbage and to be fair, they didn't cost much.
The hardest part for me and guys outside USA is delivery, and Rock Auto shine in that department. I can order online on a Wednesday, and parts are on my doorstep the following Monday or Tuesday...no questions asked. And the shipping cost is cheap compared to Summit Racing who seem to get a backhander for loading extra air-filled pillows into the way over-sized cartons. Year One are guilty of "over the top" measures when it comes to shipping also. Cartons arrive with only 10% space utilized by the actual ordered goods. I'm all for making sure the product arrives in great condition, but some companies really take the piss on that front.
