Man! I love that coke bottle look, especially the 68-70 B-bodies.
I'm biased, yes, but I think the 70 Roadrunner with the "futuristic" front grille, and add the 70 GTX for the tail lights & panel, side scoop on the rear quarters (and the ones that stick out on the Super Bee & R/T Coronet) wow!

It was east for the HUG to come up at the hit of the gas. Heck, watching it lope through the pits it would day light the front tires. The LRW took much more to get up off the ground. The HUG would be all the way up while the LRW would be about half way if both got off the line at the same time.

Good stuff in this video. Especially at 16:45 - Steve Atwell's comments. "...they'll want out..." :moparsmiley:

Tried to buy a 68 340 Dart in 1970 but the owner wouldn't let me put it up on a lift to inspect the underside so I walked. I liked the that gen Dart and ended up with a 67 in 74....

A local guy who worked at a very busy engine rebuilding shop, a shop that did mostly stock, "commercial" rebuilds for fleet or work vehicles, had a 69 Dart, 340, 4 speed. Now I'm sure he did more than a "stock" rebuild, and it's nice to have an engine machine shop at your disposal, but his Dart was a force to be reckoned with on the "street scene".

OOPS---I didn't look back far enough in this thread before I posted this.:steering:
