I did this prompted by a challenge in the early eighties.
I put a half-dollar coin in a classic coke bottle.
Sorry about the picture quality.--- In-person the coin is real as is the bottle.
To date- I have been unable to find if this has been done by another and if so I am interested in how they did it to compare with how I did it. (BTW I have seen a picture of a quarter in a wide mouth coke bottle).

I have many amazing things we did with wine and beer bottles... but of course I worked as an EMEng in a glass plant. Need an ash tray or a bong...LOL

1300 C or close and you can do most anything..

I was prompted by the challenge of working with the neck size of the bottle.--The art of building ships in a bottle fascinated me when I was a kid.

We had the bonus of an annealing oven...

That would put limits on the material of the contents of the bottle.:)--Not to mention the originality of the bottle.
BTW I did put a golf ball in a 16oz coke bottle but don't count it as a success because the bottle was "compromised" to do it.

Hint--I used the ship in a bottle building technique. --I used the neck of the bottle as a given to work with.

hmmm....was the coin bent enough to slip into the bottle then flattened while in the bottle?

A small dent on Kennedy's head is the result of the trauma. These coins are tough and work harden when bent.
