1970 Roadrunner Production Number Question

Not sure what all information exists on production numbers for paint, but I'm curious. Approximately how many 70 roadrunners came in-violet?

I found a purple air grabber car for sale. May end up picking it up if I can sell some toys. Any information on the number of air grabbers or purple cars is appreciated.

I'd speculate the best way to kind of know is:
Join a Roadrunner registry, register your car and see if there are any "numbers" out there.

I am not sure if those production numbers are "out there"

I don't believe there is such a color vs. year list....however, I do seem to recall "somebody" (maybe Roadrunner Nest?) asking people with Road Runners what all their options were (including color of the car) to try to build some of this information from scratch. I just look at "roadrunner nest" and didn't see it, but it's either their, on this site, or "maybe" moparts. From what I remember, in violet/plum crazy wasn't nearly as rare as you would think. It appeared to have been a very popular high-impact color for the performance cars. Not rare, but still cool. If I had to guess, I think Panther Pink is the rarest color & some of the "less appealing" colors are pretty rare too.

Colors are tracked for 1970 and the percentages for cars sold in the US are available through the Options and Accessories reports.

RM21 5.5% of production or about 813 cars
RM23 5.8% of cars or about 1,356 cars
Rm27 8.4% of production or about 55 cars
