working on my 8 3/4 housing ,what can i use to remove the wheel bearing inter seal on my housing.

I use a 1 1/4" open end wrench... Hook the long side of the wrench behind the seal & use the wrench as a lever to pop the seal...

I think I heard the axle end can be used also. Never tried it since I also have a slide hammer.

I did this recently - used the end of the axle as suggested above. Just pop it in a small amount and then pry it out. If you have the correct tools you can obviously use them.

I've used the axle end technique on lots of axles, the7.25, 8.25 & 9.25 mopar, the 8.8 ford & 10 & 12 bolt Chevies but the 8.75 axle inner seal sits pretty deep, I've never tried using an axle cause the angle would be pretty steep....

I didn't imagine it....it worked fine.

Not saying it didn't, just saying I haven't tried it.... I have a 1 1/4 wrench that I've used on all 8.75 axles I've replaced inner seals on for the past 40+ years....
