Drag link on my 68 GTX is rubbing oil pan...
New Idler arm looks shorter than Pitman
Is there a drag link with more clearance ?
Maybe oversized oil pan?
Just acquired this car
Anybody ran into this?

Possible wrong oil pan. Pictures as requested.

I’ll get some pics tomorrow. It is a chrome oil pan
It's probably incorrect. It can either be a rear sump, a center sump or a front sump, depending on the application. Wrong pan will cause problems.

Thinkin the same. I’ll get you a pic. See what you think
Not big on chrome pans. Seem to leak on me

I was looking at that possibility

if I remember correctly there are a number of idler arms that will fit but not give you full clearance
A fast ratio pitman arm can be another cause
All things for you to check as you rule things out

Pics don’t show too well but idler looks shorter than pitman
