Has anybody bought parts from the Ram Man

I would also pass on him. I recently ordered a master cylinder top from him and it won't seal. Leaked brake fluid on my freshly painted engine bay. I tried several possible solutions and all failed to get this nice new cap to seal. I put the old top on and no leaks. I have tried for over a month to reach them by email and phone and can't get anyone to respond. Wasted my money and now have a shiny paper weight on my desk. Stay away!

Just curious and a honest question, how would you know about Ram Man if you never spoke or worked with him?

I just want to add that no one on this forum wants to damage or impair a business dedicated to this hobby, just the opposite....but what many of us see day to day.....is that there are folks out there who make a presence in the referb space for these parts....and they are not honest. I never comment, unless I have direct knowledge. Case in point, Ram Man has never returned a single call of mine or e-mail. I've made at least 5 queries over the last 4 months. I see many folks on here have had both good and bad experiences with him. He has posted videos in the past slashing people for criticizing him, and his products. I had my steering gear rebuild by a local company here in Ft Worth...cost me a mint....and the wait was long.....got it back and installed it.....leaked worse than before....all they did was repaint it....and tighten the castle nut on the top...total fraud. Called them, and they told me to bring it back.....I did, and they made up a story......ect......I got the feeling that since I looked like a mark, they were sure I'd just go away.....I waited 5 min, then asked for a refund and the part. Guy stood there looking tough, and I stood there.....looking ready to kick his ***. He decided to fix the gear while I waited. Took a few hours.....I learned a thing or two.....and he did too....Sorry for the story....but, the Ram Man is one of these people......he'll get away with as much as he can, and will.

......just curious.....seems to me that I was referring to lack of contact as a primary concern. Also, the tons of videos he put out a while back....and feedback others have regarding the lack of contact on support. I believe that was the cope of it. By all means, please call him and let him know that I called him....hehe

First of all, you need to understand that YOU don't SPEAK to "him". You are only allowed to LISTEN. It doesn't work the other way if you try to explain something to him. Once you have LISTENED attentively to all manner of :bs_flag:, then you are expected to PAY and then leave.

You have been duly warned by more than one person here, if you want to continue to think it will be different for you, then by all means GO FOR IT.

Called numerous times, emailed, texted, no answer no response . I gave up . Sent my booster to Dewey today. Hope it works out

Some people have their own business because they have something to offer and some are self employed because they couldn't work anywhere else.

I’m pretty sure the fellow who offers this service has health issues, but stop advertising and soliciting for new business if you have no means to function.

Ordered front brake kit and power brake booster assembly. All paid for. No product or answers to my several phone messages and emails

Hope this turns out ok

Dude lives 10 miles from me.....never been able to reach him. Be careful.

Very typical for him. More than happy to take your money, but you will play hell trying to get ahold of him again.

If you do, be ready for the song and dance routine, probably some story about being injured and/or hospitalized right after you ordered the parts, etc, etc.

If you used a credit card, call them and they can pull the payment. Then call Dr Diff and get the same parts with great customer service.

I purchased one thing from the ram man once and got the wrong part. Ended up being 4 months of hassle and being told I was wrong to get my money back.

I see this situation pretty much the same as I do the reviews you find on something like Amazon in that there will always be someone who isn't happy. However I have discovered that you really need to read the reviews/comments to determine who/what has merit and what doesn't. In this case it is pretty clear that there are numerous members here saying exactly the same thing, thus I for one would take that as probably being pretty accurate.

I will say up front that I personally have never dealt with the Ram Man but after reading the members statements I wouldn't. I have worked with Cass (Dr. Diff) and can say without hesitation that he is awesome and knows what he is talking about. Everyone is free to do business with whomever they like, but if advice is asked and then not taken it should not be a surprise when it doesn't work out. Conversely if it does work out and the vendor in question is unjustly criticized then it would be helpful to know that.

I was just about to post almost exactly what you said.
Dr. Diff gets my support as well.

Agree 1000%. Again, can't go wrong with Cass

I'll give my endorsement for Dr Diff. Best for the money products and above and beyond support after the sale.
I definitely agree that Cass at Dr. Diff is really great to work with. I screwed up and ordered the wrong parts. Cass took them back and refunded my money, no questions asked. Super responsive.

I tried emailing The Ram Man a few times and never got a response.

I bought my kit from him and have mixed reviews for Wayne Brown. The good: he is knowledgeable about the product and product seems to be of acceptable quality. The bad: Price is a little on the high side; installation instructions not great; poor product support - his master cylinder was bad. I understand these things happen, but I got the run around on getting a replacement so I wound up buying one from NAPA. If I had to do it over, I would start with Cass Eslick at Dr. Diff who I talked with a couple of times but wound up going with Ramman because I live close enough to to Ft Worth to pick up parts myself. Summit and Jegs also sell these kits, but don't know anything about their kits.

Dr. Diff is a great guy to work with!

Stay away. I bought an original rebuilt bendix brake booster from him about a year ago. He sent me pictures of his boosters all detailed looking good. The part I received was rebuilt internally but the master cylinder mounting studs had the threads all messed up and the booster was just freshly painted in gray primer and not finished in black like he said it would be, a small dent in the booster, nothing anywhere close to what he lead me to believe I was buying. And of course no response to phone or email so I got screwed on the deal.

My advice is listen to what folks are saying and experiencing with this guy!

Anyone who deals with The Ram-Man should watch his video on how his business was stolen. You'll know why many people say things about him. Seemed sketchie to me.
